The director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy has reassured fans that earning the Platinum Trophy in the series' third installment will not be as challenging as in previous games. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, one of 2024's biggest titles, won multiple accolades at the Golden Joystick Awards on November 21. It secured awards for Best Storytelling and Best Soundtrack, while Cody Christian (Cloud) and Briana White (Aerith) received recognition as Best Lead Performer and Best Supporting Performer, respectively. As The Game Awards 2024 approaches, the game is a strong contender for Game of the Year. Meanwhile, development for the trilogy's final chapter is well underway, and the series' director has provided some encouraging news for completionists.

In an interview with the Daily Star, Naoki Hamaguchi addressed the difficulty of obtaining Platinum Trophies in the series and promised a more accessible achievement experience in Part 3. "I think there is one other thing actually, which I can say was a mistake on my part, something that I've already apologized for—and I definitely will not do again, which is how difficult I made it to get the Platinum Trophy," Hamaguchi admitted. "Rest assured, I have learned from that, and in the future, I will not be making Platinum Trophies that difficult."
