Projects

At Culture of Peace Foundation, our deliverable impact is predicated on promoting the UNESCO culture of peace and non-violence through human capital development, rebuilding communities and empowering individual to reach their fullest potential. According to UNESCO, “A Culture of Peace is a set of values, attitudes, modes of behaviour and ways of life based on respect for life, ending of violence and promotion and practice of non-violence through education, dialogue and cooperation.”

For attainment of the strategic goals of driving home our agenda for promoting collective value or attitudes that can unite people regardless of identity and belief, discourage violence, respect of others, tolerance and contentment that can lead to reconciliation and peaceful coexistence among humanity, the need to organise our global communities of volunteers who share our interests and hobbies for peace promotion cannot be over emphasised.

On this note, CUPEF web based programmes of peace mission has been made with group functionality where members or affiliations can interact, communicate and collaborate. This module provide a space for users to connect with like-minded individuals, share information, resources, and experiences, and participate in discussions and activities related to their interests.

By virtue of creating a conducive environment for the attainment of sustainable global peace and security, we are maintaining virtual communities for Two Hundred and Forty Nine (249) countries globally. This is aimed at creating a country based forum for our peace ambassadors also called country peace keepers.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

The aims and objectives of CUPEF is far from being a body initiated to provide legal services or intervension in an endeavor to settle dispute and or crisis. How ever, The mission of Culture of Peace Foundation is to create conditions for the attainment of sustainable global peace and security through advocacy and human capital development. Below is the highlight of our aims and objectives

Promote culture of peace and non-violence by empowering individuals and communities.
Groom young people as future leaders through training and mentorship
Detach young people from extremist ideology through deliberate initiatives.
Reorient the youths and position them as change-makers and peace ambassadors in their local communities.
Increase knowledge and understanding of peace among school children through the teachings of history, arts and inter-cultural exchange programme.
Set new approach to tackle drug and substance abuse among the youths to reduce crime.
Tackle poverty through financial literacy, entrepreneurial development and humanitarian assistance.
Implement innovative literary programs to promote reading and writing culture by helping writers to monetize their writing skills.
Promote peace culture through talent development- providing a unique space (IdeaLab) where young people co-create solution to problems affecting their community.
Advocate for human rights, fairness, equity and justice.
To become the vehicle that drive the partnership and collaboration needed for the complete implementation of Agenda 2030. #SDG17.

Funding

Culture of Peace foundation is functionally positioned to play a critical role in promoting social, economic, and political development through advocacy and human capital developement for global peaceful coexistence. However, we face financial constraints that limit our ability to carry out our planned activities effectively. To address this issue, we have established various funding mechanisms to benefit funding from governments and international organizations.
